US Cyber Games® Issues Call for CTFs

US Cyber Games April 11, 2022

WANTED: Experienced organizations and individuals to develop Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges.

ASHBURN, VA – APRIL 11, 2022 - The US Cyber Games™ is excited to issue a Call for CTF (Capture the Flag) challenges in advance of Season 2. The US Cyber Open™ will take place from June 30 through July 10, 2022.

Founded by Katzcy, in cooperation with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) program at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the US Cyber Games is seeking experienced organizations and individuals from across the globe to develop challenges based on six (6) categories that align with the NICE Framework. The Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity (NICE Framework), provides a common lexicon for describing the tasks, knowledge, and skills that are needed to perform cybersecurity work by individuals as well as teams.

Our cybersecurity community is rich in creating CTF challenges, and it’s time to celebrate this by showcasing their talents through industry collaboration,” states Jessica Gulick, Katzcy Founder & CEO and US Cyber Games Commissioner. “Challenge content needs to be original, relevant, and mapped to the NICE Framework for our athletes. In exchange, a donation will be made on the developer’s behalf to one of eight nonprofits.”

The CTF development application process is open Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 22, 2022, 5:00 PM EDT. More information is available at https://www.uscybergames.com/ctf-development-program.
